Child hearing disorders
Child hearing disorder at an early stage could lead to a delay in the in the development of
speech and language capabilities. Therefore it is imperative to diagnose and treat these disorders at an early stage.
We carry out within the first couple of years any kind of objective hearing tests. Beginning from day one we could carry out and determine in a very short space of time (2-5 minutes) through otoacustic emissions if the ear cells in the ear react to tones.
The reaction of the nerves in the ear or brain currents will give us an idea if the tones are being perceived or not.
In this light we carry out a paedaudiologic tests including brainstem evoked response audiometry (BERA).
